House Churches

October 12, 2008

House ChurchesHouse Churches are the heartbeat of Storyline Christian Community. These communities embody all of our values in a way no other environment does. In fact, Storyline could best be described as a network of house churches that gather together periodically to worship and tell stories of what God is doing.

House Churches are groups of people that live out the life of the church together. They meet weekly for the sake of prayer, communion, conversation about Scripture, and relationship. They throw parties and show hospitality to friends who are disconnected from God. They serve together for the cause of justice in our city. They grow and experience life change together. And when a house church grows large enough, it sends a hand-full of people to start a new house church.

House Churches are also the primary venue for helping children grow up in their faith. Children of all ages participate in the life of the group. Age-appropriate activities and lessons about God’s story are offered by trained adults every week for children in house church gatherings.
