Justice Initiatives
Part of participating in God’s mission is working with God to establish justice in the world — not justice in the American sense, but justice in the Christian sense. Christian justice is a concern for the wellbeing of the poor, the downtrodden, children, the vulnerable, the homeless, widows, the elderly and the marginalized. God has a big heart for such people. The church stands for justice when it cares for and befriends those who are treated unjustly.
Justice Initiatives are ways Storyline Christian Community seeks to join God as he curbs injustice in the world. It may entail having lunch with our poor neighbors, helping a homeless person find a place to stay, mentoring vulnerable children, or traveling to a another country to participate in relief and development work.
As we get to know our city and world, we desire for such initiatives to develop into a number of full-fledged causes for the sake of justice.
