Missional Communities are the heartbeat of Storyline Christian Community. These communities embody all of our values in a way no other environment does.
Missional Communities are groups of 20-50 people that live out the mission of God together. They meet weekly for the sake of prayer, communion, conversation about Scripture, and relationship. They are defined by a specific missional vision for a particular neighborhood or network of relationships. They throw parties and show hospitality to friends who are disconnected from God. They serve together for the cause of justice in our city. They grow and experience life change together. And when a Missional Community is healthy and grows beyond about 50 people, it reproduces by sending a team of people to start a new Missional Community.
Missional Communities in the Storyline network are also the primary venue for helping children grow up in their faith. Children of all ages participate in the life of the group. Age-appropriate activities and lessons about God’s story are offered by trained adults every week for children in Missional Community Gatherings.
